SPACENOODLES.COM:THE PLANET JUPITER WAS ALMOST OUR SECOND SUN, IF SO WE PROBABLY WOULD NOT BE HERE!!

In WWW.SPACENOODLES.COM, free outer space greeting cards by Hank Curci, noted SCIFI author, we see that Jupiter, our largest planet in the solar system, was almost our second sun in the sky.

Many stars that we see in the universe have a binary twin with both stars orbiting one another some times in a figure eight motion.

When this planetary phenomena occurs it is called a binary star where the word binary means TWO.

 Our modern computer numbering system is also binary because it only has two numbers or characters in it namely 0 and 1.

The planet Jupiter is referred to as a gas giant because it has no solid surface and is composed mostly of hydrogen gas where the hydrogen atom is the most common element in the universe.

Our sun is also a gas ball of hydrogen where it eventually generated enough squeeze down pressure from gravity to fire of it’s nuclear furnace and now converts the element hydrogen in to the element helium which produces the heat and warmth we needed to evolve life. 

Jupiter, however, did not quite have enough hydrogen to fire off a nuclear furnace and remained a gas giant planet.

If Jupiter did fire off a nuclear furnace and became our second sun it is speculated conditions would have been too harsh to evolve life as we know it on planet earth.

On Planet Earth, we have only a sample of ONE by which to judge what elements and environment are required to evolve life, in our case, carbon based life.

Hence, we look for Planet Earth type solar systems having planets that resemble Planet Earth because that’s all the information we have about life as we know it.

But what about the possibilities of silicon based life or even intelligent plant life that is a hybrid of a carbon and silicon molecule that we have never heard of before or even considered was possible.

We do not know what DARK MATTER is we can only see it’s GRAVITATIONAL effects when measuring the rotational velocity of the Milky Way Galaxy.

This galactic rotation value is incorrect when only the visible stars are used, hence there is something else contributing to the mass of the milky way galaxy and that SOMTHING is labeled DARK MATTER of which we have no idea what it is.

Dark matter does not absorb substantial electromagnetic radiation at any wavelength.

The question remains: All the stars and galaxies in the universe are flying away from each other at great speeds…will there be enough gravity to stop this expansion or will the universe continue to expand for ever and finally die having no more life giving stars and galaxies.

Astrophysicist are asking if the mass of the dark matter will step in and stop the expansion recollecting the cosmos in to another big bang….it may take 50 billion years to find out the fate of the Universe.

This is an amazing number especially when you realize the sun burns 400 million tons of hydrogen per second for EIGHT BILLION YEARS..also an AMAZING NUMBER.

How can this be, why doesn’t the sun burn it self out?

By sheer mass, weight, size the sun should have burned it self out billions of years ago but it happen and is still going strong with four more BILLION YEARS left to go.

We turn to Albert Einstein for the answer using his famous energy equation of E=MC2 ( C squared) which says energy and mass are the same thing and are interchangeable at the speed of light.

To make mass, the universe, via super nova explosions, squeezes down energy ( hydrogen atoms ) so tightly that it becomes rigid and makes mass.

Mass is energy squeezed down, like squeezing down snow flakes to make a snow ball, (186,000) X (186,000) = 34 billion to one…hence, if you could extract all of the energy from a sugar cube, you could run the city if New York for a two or three days.

The sun is a nuclear furnace converting the atom hydrogen into the atom helium via E=MC2.

Each time this reaction occurs, a nuclear particle is lost and the difference is made up in the form of energy or heat.

This nuclear reaction is so efficient that it takes eight billion years for all of the hydrogen in the sun to be converted to helium.

Unfortunately, a similar nuclear reaction was used to make the atomic bomb killing and maiming thousands of innocent people at one time.

The amount of fissionable nuclear material that was in the atomic bomb dropped on Japan was not much bigger than a garden pea, the tip of your little finger, yet it was able to wipe out an entire city.

The nuclear furnace inside the sun, that gives us life, is operating on the same level of efficiency.
