When we look up at the night sky and see the stars, what we are seeing is what the star looked like when it first sent us it’s light.

If the star is a thousand light years away then we are seeing what the star looked like 1,000 years ago.

If the star blew up 500 years ago we would not know that it was gone for another 500 years.

The beautiful Centauri Globular Star Cluster, 17,000 light years from here, is where Hank Curci’s SPACENOODLES characters come from.

If there is intelligent life there it would take 17,000 years for the message to get to Planet Earth.

This means the message was sent 14,000 years before the birth of King Tut in 1100 BC., 15,400 years before the fall of Rome in 400AD etc.

Hence, communicating with intelligent life in outer space would be literally impossible since all the people on both ends of the message would long since be dead by the time the message arrived.

The the average temperature on Mars is about zero degrees Fahrenheit.

 Artificial carbon dioxide would have to be generated to produce a Green House effect to warm up the surface.

When this happens, frozen ice stored in the ground will start to melt producing water and weather.

Dormant seeds, if in fact there ever was life, would start to germinate and new plants could be introduced.

The growing plants would stabilize planetary environments producing human habitat requirements.

Deliberately generating a planetary Green House effect on Planet Earth would be harmful to the environment causing polar ice caps to melt flooding great coastal cities like New York, Los Angeles, London and others.

Some plant and animal life would become extinct and planet Earth would be severely damaged.

However, this very same Green House effect on Mars would do the opposite and bring forth an environment for human living.

On Planet Earth, we have only a sample of ONE by which to judge what elements and environment are required to evolve life, in our case, carbon atom based life.

Hence, we look for Planet Earth type solar systems having planets that resemble Planet Earth because that’s all the information we have about life as we know it.

But what about the possibilities of silicon based life or even intelligent plant life that is a hybrid of a carbon and silicon molecule that we have never heard of before or even considered was possible.
